Lauren is a native Houstonian who practices primarily in the areas of insurance and civil litigation. Her practice focuses predominately on first and third-party insurance disputes, premises liability, trucking claims. She also advises clients in contract interpretation, revisions and drafting. Lauren has tried numerous cases to verdict.

Experience:

Lauren’s judicial internships with the Supreme Court of Texas, Fourteenth Court of Appeals for the State of Texas, and for the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Texas have instilled in her insights into the court system, which she utilizes to serve her clients’ best interests. Lauren provides personalized attention to her clients’ various needs, focusing on cost-efficient dispute resolution.

Lauren attended the St. Mary’s Institute on World Legal Problems at The University of Innsbruck, Austria in 2010 and obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2012. While at law school, she served as the Board of Advocates Chair and was elected to the Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization for oral advocacy.

In 2021, Lauren was elected to the governing Council of the Insurance Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. The Insurance Law Section is part of the State Bar consisting of approximately 2,200 members. She also serves as the Membership Chair for the Council and is a Co-Chair of the 21st Annual Advanced Insurance Law Seminar in San Antonio in June of 2024.

Representative Matters:

Handled hundreds of civil cases in the areas of personal injury, insurance, contractual disputes, and general civil litigation through resolution.

  • Successfully represented a governmental entity for a personal injury case and negotiated a dismissal without payment of a settlement.
  • Successfully represented a fitness center in a suit for constitutional violations where summary judgment was granted.
  • Successfully represented a construction business for a premises liability case resulting in personal injuries where plaintiff sought $1 million dollars and negotiated a settlement of less than $55,000
  • Successfully represented trucking company in racial discrimination claim brought by former employee before the EEOC resulting in complete dismissal of claims.
